Sheet Metal Guillotine can cutting metal size with required dimensions due to suitable model, like 4mm, 6mm, 8mm, 12mm, 16mm up to 40mm mild steel plate and 20mm stainless metal, but when operator cutting narrow strips, it will be easily defformed due to bigger cutting pressure force narrow strip metal material.

How to solve this sheet metal strips cutting concerns, AHYW Yawei designed one hydraulic Anti-twist system to ensure narrow metal strips to be cutting.

Sheet Metal Guillotien Anti Twist System; A series of hydraulic cylinders pushing up the material being cut while the beam is moving in down stroke, minimizing or eliminating the twisting effect when cutting narrow strips less than 10 times material material thickness.

During the metal guillotine cutting process, internal stresses tend to twist the material. Especially when width is reduced with heavy thickness, the strip will tend to curl.

 

Anti-twist system contrasts the piece warping by pushing it against the upper blade.

The unique Anti-Twist system consists of a series of hydraulic cylinders placed below the lower blade, which support the sheet metal against the upper blade.

The cylinders exert a counter-pressure in proportion to the thickness, thus compensating the twist effect of the sheet.

This opposing action allows us to prevent the twisting effects, which depend on the geometry and the characteristics of the material and the cutting parameters.

The Continuous Anti-twist on sheet metal guillotine shear  distributes the force more evenly. It serves to reduce the possibility of damage to the surface of thin metal sheets, or in case of delicate finishes such as polished stainless steel or pre-painted plates.
